Hobby to Profession - A Journey

Hobby??? a common word. We all have some hobby in our life. Some love to listen songs, some loves to write, some loves to collect, etc. What is yours?????

As I am from Madhubani I had Interest in Madhubani Painting since childhood, it was not only reason but was also due to my interest in themes and motifs which Madhubani Painting have. Our grand parents used to tell story about Ram Sita and how the Madhubani art came to existence. Those stories enlightened my interest in Madhubani Art and I started drawing the same.

In my secondary and higher secondary stage I used to do Madhubani Art for my home and also gift the same to my relatives as they used to love my paintings. As time passes I went for my higher studies but I never left my interest in Madhubani Paintings. It kept my interest live. Got married after some year and it was that time when I started Madhubani Painting frequently because I had to move to a new place where career scope was very less . Gradually it becomes my hobby and I keep continuing the same.I started painting on handmade paper professionally so that it can be stored

. I made almost 150 painting on A4 size handmade papers.

After some days I started sharing my paintings in social media and groups with good response. Then I thought, I accept it as my profession. I created my webpage www.artdecindia.com to display and promote my artworks.

I started with artworks which I had accumulated and after some days received my first order. After that orders were keep coming and I never looked behind. Now I found a way forward. I took this seriously and I kept adding more and more products in our website.

Now I have listed number of products in my website and not only this I am taking online classes on Madhubani Painting with a vision to share my knowledge and make women independent.

I found ocean of scope in my career with Madhubani Painting......

Now My Hobby is My Profession.....
